Chapter 1: Seducing Spirit

An impostor or misleader; a deceiver, wanderer, leading into error, corrupter.

Speaking lies in hypocrisy:

Acting under a feigned part, pretend to be affected by (a feeling, state, or injury):

• Archaic meaning - to invent (a story or excuse).
• Archaic meaning - to indulge in pretense.

To ‘make something’, ‘invent a story, excuse, or allegation’, hence ‘make a pretense of a feeling or response’.

The only way to fight these spirits is with the truth and church discipline. It is for this cause that apostolic order is essential. It is the responsibility of the apostolic bishopric to contend for the faith and expose that which is not of God or the faith.

Romans 6:20-21

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

Being “free from righteousness” means reaching a state where one:

• Becomes spiritually reprobate
• Loses the ability to walk in righteousness
• Can no longer respond to godly conviction

The Progressive Path Away from Righteousness

1. Loss of Conviction:

• No longer feeling convicted when doing wrong
• Only showing remorse when confronted by others
• Lacking genuine repentance without external pressure.

2. Overriding the Holy Spirit:

• Ignoring divine conviction
• Consistently choosing personal will over God’s direction
• Becoming comfortable in disobedience.

3. Searing of Conscience:

• Acknowledging wrong but refusing to change
• Maintaining comfortable patterns of sin
• Developing spiritual numbness to correction.

Signs of Spiritual Decline in Leadership

Warning Signs:

• Requiring external confrontation for conviction
• Maintaining appearance without internal change
• Prioritizing personal agenda over God’s will
• Leading others away from true faith

Seduction occurs through:

• Desire for power
• Pursuit of personal recognition
• Insistence on personal agenda
• Disregard for others’ wellbeing

Scripture Reference

1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits.

Leaders must remain vigilant against spiritual decline by maintaining sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, responding to conviction, and prioritizing God’s kingdom over personal ambition.

The doctrine of reprobation represents one of the most sobering truths in Scripture. As we examine Romans 1:18-32, we discover that this passage is not describing the unsaved world, but rather born-again believers who have progressively rejected God’s lordship in their lives. This teaching requires focused attention, as Scripture warns us in 2 Timothy 4:2 to “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

The apostle Paul provides us with a clear roadmap of how believers can move from knowing God to being given over to a reprobate mind. This is not about losing salvation through isolated sins, but about a sustained heart posture that ultimately rejects God’s authority while attempting to retain the benefits of His salvation.

The Path to Becoming Reprobate

Romans 1:19-20

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: This passage establishes that these individuals once possessed genuine knowledge of God. The Greek word “manifest” means “apparent, clearly visible, known.” This is not mere intellectual knowledge about God, but experiential knowledge of His person and power.

John 17:3

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

2 Peter 1:3

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

These were born-again believers who had:

• Experienced the Holy Spirit’s presence
• Witnessed God’s power in their lives
• Known the reality of the Godhead
• Been partakers of divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)

The phrase “so that they are without excuse” indicates they had sufficient revelation to make informed decisions about their relationship with God. Romans 1:21a:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful...

Here we encounter the pivotal moment in their spiritual decline. The word “knew” indicates intimate, experiential knowledge. They had a genuine relationship with God, yet they made a conscious choice regarding His role in their lives.

The Fatal Division:

They acknowledged God as Savior but rejected Him as Lord. This mindset manifests in statements like:

• “He saved me, but He can’t lead me.”
• “He can’t guide my decisions.”
• “You don’t have to obey Him to be saved.”
• “No one is going to control me, not even God.”

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Matthew 7:21

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The word “glorified” means “to honor, magnify, extol.” They refused to give God the honor and reverence due to His position as sovereign Lord. This is the root of all spiritual decline - the rejection of God’s rightful authority over our lives.

Romans 1:21b ...neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

This verse reveals a four-stage progression into spiritual darkness:

Stage 1: Unthankfulness

The absence of gratitude reveals a heart that has forgotten God’s goodness and provision.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Ephesians 5:20

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Stage 2: Vain Imaginations

The Greek word “vain” means “to make empty, foolish, or worthless.” Their reasoning becomes futile and their thoughts turn to self-worship.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Stage 3: Professing Wisdom

Romans 1:22

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. This manifests in attitudes such as:

• “I don’t need a preacher.”
• “I don’t need a teacher.”
• “I know God for myself.”
• “The Holy Spirit teaches me directly.”

Proverbs 3:7

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

1 Corinthians 3:18

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

Stage 4: Heart Darkened

Progressive spiritual blindness sets in.

The heart, which should be the center of spiritual understanding, becomes incapable of discerning truth.

Ephesians 4:18

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.

A seducing spirit will always remain true to character. He will slander God. In the hearts of his victims, he will redefine who God is and what God stands for.

Romans 1:22-23

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. At this stage, they begin to recreate God in their own image. They constantly redefine God to match what they will accept, thus creating a new god:

• Who will “let anything go”
• With “no moral standards”
• Who never judges sin
• Who accepts any lifestyle

Redefining God

Isaiah 5:20

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Modern examples include teachings that:

• Eliminate the fear of God
• Remove accountability for sin
• Promise blessing without obedience
• Redefine biblical morality to accommodate cultural trends

Romans 1:24

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.

Critical Insight: God doesn’t make them unclean; He gives them up to uncleanness.

The phrase “gave them up” means “to deliver over, to give into the hands of another.” God stops actively restraining them from their chosen path.

Hosea 4:17

Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

Psalm 81:11-12

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

This is not God’s desire but His judicial response to persistent rebellion. He simply allows them to pursue the path they have chosen without His protective intervention.

Romans 1:25

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

At this stage, they actively pervert Scripture to justify their lifestyle. Here is an example:

1 John 1:6

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.

Modern false teaching transforms this into: “You can sin as much as you want and still have fellowship with God.”

2 Peter 3:16

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Jeremiah 23:36

And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

They become skilled at:

• Taking verses out of context
• Emphasizing grace while ignoring holiness
• Promoting liberty while rejecting responsibility
• Preaching love while denying judgment

Romans 1:26-27

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Sexual perversion follows as a natural consequence of rejecting God’s authority. Each “giving up” leads to deeper depravity.

Leviticus 18:22

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

The Escalation to Vile Affections

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The progression shows that when people reject God’s design for sexuality, it leads to increasingly destructive behaviors. This is not merely about individual sins but about a systematic rejection of God’s created order.

Romans 1:28a

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge... The key word here is “RETAIN”, meaning, “to keep, to hold fast, to possess.”

Critical Insight: You cannot lose something you never had. This proves they once possessed the knowledge of God but made a conscious decision to reject it.

Hebrews 10:26-27

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

2 Peter 2:20-21

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

The decisive moment comes when they declare: “I don’t want to keep you in my knowledge.”

Romans 1:28b ...God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

The word “reprobate” (ἀδόκιμος - adokimos) means “failing to pass the test, rejected, worthless.” God’s response to their final rejection is complete withdrawal of His convicting presence.

Jeremiah 6:30

Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

2 Timothy 3:8

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Titus 1:16

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

God’s final declaration: “Since you don’t want me in your mind, I’m giving you over to that choice. I will not convict you from this day forward.” The mind ceases to be convicted by sin, and they become incapable of genuine repentance.

Dangerous Heart Attitudes:

“I’m tired of you convicting me.”

“I’m tired of feeling bad when I sin.”

“I want to enjoy sin like the world again.”

“I don’t want to retain you in my knowledge.”

“Find me a church that doesn’t preach against sin.”

“Find me a doctrine that removes my fear of you.”

The Confirming Scripture

John 3:19-20

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

1 John 1:5-7

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1. Continue Asking God for Forgiveness

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The desire to seek forgiveness indicates you still want God in your life.

2. Don’t Resist the Holy Ghost

Acts 7:51

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Ephesians 4:30

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Submit initially when He speaks to your heart about sin.

3. Welcome God’s Chastening

Hebrews 12:6-8

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

God’s correction shows He still loves you and hasn’t given up on you.

4. Maintain the Fear of the Lord

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 16:6

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. This teaching emphasizes that reprobation is not about losing salvation through isolated sins, but rather about forfeiting salvation through a sustained heart posture of rejecting God’s lordship while wanting to retain the benefits of His salvation.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

The path to reprobation is progressive and preventable. God’s desire is not to give anyone over to a reprobate mind, but He will.

The Lord spoke to me one Sunday afternoon and said, “You cannot minister to a seducing spirit.” Those who have given heed to a seducing spirit will depart from the faith. They will have no regard for truth. Instead, they will establish their own truths and build their lives, ministries, and fellowships around these falsehoods.

1 Corinthians 2:12

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

A seducing spirit is able to seduce the saved and the unsaved. The unsaved are already walking in the darkness of this world and are “You cannot minister to a seducing spirit,” says the Lord.

of their father, the devil. Although the saved are the children of God, the scripture is very plain:

Romans 6:16

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

If you find that there are times when you are not walking after the Spirit of God, then at some point you must stop and discern why. The scripture tells us to examine ourselves and see if we are in the faith. The examination should be true and without compromise. We have been warned to be careful of seducing spirits. They come to steal away the safety of our souls. Sometimes the temptation to move off course with God will come from those who are very close to us. There are many who have departed from the faith because they took on the iniquity of others. Judge yourself in these types of situations. Many were doing well, until they began to listen and take heed to seducing spirits of iniquity, wantonness, a lust for ministry, and offense. I cannot stress enough the importance of judging yourself in these matters. For I have seen many a saint become ensnared in webs of offense and iniquity that originally was not their own. Soul ties and unlawful loyalties have overshadowed the fact that offense and iniquity are the seedbeds for deception and spiritual blindness. You might wonder, what are unlawful loyalties? Jesus was very helpful in explaining that fact.

Luke 14:26

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

As always, the truth is simple. If you are influenced by anyone, over and above the Spirit of Christ, then you cannot be the disciple of the Lord.

Of late, I have seen situations in the lives of saints that I would liken to someone running a race and nearing the finish line, however there is an obstacle, such as a cardboard box, on the track. The runner sees the object very plainly and begins to assess whether he is able to go around it without losing speed. The answer is yes. He is skillful and fast enough to go around it or leap over it if necessary, without losing a stride.

He keeps his eye on the object, knowing it could be disastrous for him, should he not do the things he was trained to do. But the closer he gets to the object, the larger it seems. Surprisingly he runs right into the obstacle and falls on the track; unable to finish the race. What happened? He had all the skills and abilities to leap over and beyond the rubbish on the track.

Well, beloved, the obstacle did not get any bigger, the runner just got closer. He got so close watching the rubbish until he lost the momentum he needed to leap over it.

But the runner was so close to the finish line. He could see it just ahead. All that he had trained for was right in front of him. Instead of concluding, “This is a piece of a cardboard box that has somehow found its way on the track;” he felt a need to slow down a bit, read the writing on it, and perhaps tell from whence it came.

But he is a runner, running a race. He does not have time to read any writings or labels. It does not matter what was once in the box or where it came from. The truth is simple, “it is out of place. It has no business being on the track. It has become an obstacle that must be overcome.”

Saints, this is what happens when you lose sight of what God has done in your life, as well as how He did it. This is what happens when satan plants a familiar being in your lane on the track to be your distracting obstacle.

Once you discern that all you are hearing is offense and iniquity, that is all you need to know. Do not slow down to study iniquity, speed up, run faster and keep a strong spiritual stride that will enable you to leap over the obstacle. If you slow down and begin to assess and reassess evil, you will become spiritually blind and surely fall out of the race.

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

We are trying to get to the Millennial Reign in which we will rule over the earth with Christ. Sad to say, many will not make it. What is even more sad is many saints were well equipped and capable of making it in, but gave their soul to the care and direction of those they knew to be off course with God, walking in pride, and have provoked the Lord to give them over to reprobate minds. They are castaways, estranged from God, even with all their religious doings. They have become even as satan. Being a castaway, he is satisfied to be a stumbling block to as many of the sons of God as possible. Seducing spirits have no care or concern for the souls of those they beguile, their only focus is to move souls who are loyal to them off track and out of the boundaries of the faith. They offer nothing but iniquity and vainglory as fuels for companionship.

The coming of the anti-Christ will not matter to some, because they have already taken themselves out of the race. They stagger around on the track, moving from one church to the next, not accepting the fact that they are drunkards, full of the wine of iniquity. They are deceived because they truly have made themselves believe that somehow they are all right with God.

Beloved, let this not be your end. Learn how to defend yourself against the wiles of satan. Read the next chapter and discover how to truly repent. Your soul is worth it.

You might have been seduced by one or more of satan’s seducing spirits; but now you have returned to the Lord and seek to walk once again in the truth. Nevertheless, you might have gone so far in the deception until you begin to question whether the Lord has truly received your repentance; thus also causing you to question whether you have been truly forgiven.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The scripture encourages us to repent when we sin. It lets us know that God will forgive us if we ask Him. He is not a God who carries grudges. If we are sincere in our hearts He will forgive us. How do you know that you’re forgiven?

Nevertheless, our repentance must be coupled with a heart never to return to sin. However, you must also believe that He will forgive you. He declares His forgiveness to be faithful and just, therefore you must believe these are the qualities and character of God.

Ezekiel 33:12

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression:...

Note: This means all the righteousness you have done before the day you commit a sin, will not be taken into account. … as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness;...

Note: The same is parallel with the wicked. In the day the wicked turn to God, all their wickedness is forgiven and forgotten. … neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

Note: In the day that we sin we surrender to the powers of darkness and death. The only escape from this is true repentance. When is repentance and discipleship real and profitable? To answer this question, Paul wrote of a situation that took place in the Corinthian church regarding the sin of one of the elders. The sin was gross and hideous, however, the council of elders did nothing to stop the sin.

Instead they continued to rejoice in the fact that they were a functioning church. When the Holy Ghost informed Paul of the situation and their response, he wrote an epistle rebuking them sharply. The rebuke also gendered a response from them that caused them to move out of the flesh and back into the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 7:9-12

9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

12 Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you. The Sons of God have not truly repented for their actions until they produce the same fruit as that of the Corinthians. Below is a list of the elements of true repentance taken from the scripture above. Carefulness – Speedy earnestness.

Sincere consideration as to how their actions have affected others. There is no controversy in emotions regarding the spiritual effect of his or her sin on those within the sphere of influence. There is no pride or excuse, just a sincere earnest desire to manifest Christ.

Clearing of themselves – to give an account of oneself. To answer righteously any accusation.

To accept total responsibility for the navigation of the situation into sin and death.

This also means that the individual is willing to deal with all aspects of his or her sin.

Retaining the sin = nullifying forgiveness:

Many times saints will render a defensive explanation as to why they were in a posture to do a particular thing, without ever really admitting to actually doing the thing itself. They want others to focus more on the things that motivated the wrong rather than the wrong itself, just as they do.

If the spiritual authorities in the Body of Christ allow this, they will never bring the individual to a place of facing the ugliness or the cruelty of sin. He or she will never really come face to face with their true character.

But the most devastating aspect of this operation is that the individuals who walk in this mindset, are unable to clear themselves with God. Thus they are not forgiven.

Indignation – to be totally displeased with one’s actions or spiritual disposition.

The abuse to righteous indignation is manifested when one is able to talk about the ugliness of their sin or spiritual disposition as a horrible thing, but in the same breath is able to condemn others for their involvement or to just generally judge others.

Oftentimes, it is the unforgiveness of how others have affected them that comes to the surface. Especially if others who might have been involved begin to seek out righteousness and forgiveness. They are often seen as traitors or disloyal.

If such is the case, the individual is not yet broken to a place of contriteness that will satisfy the Father or change the course of his or her life for that matter.

When a Son of God is truly indignant of his sin, then he only regards the disposition of others as a pitiful state, considering himself and the devastating effect it has on him and others; he can only look upon those he has labeled as offenders with love and compassion. The Sons of God must be brought to this place of righteous indignation concerning their own sin in any attempt to disciple. Otherwise, the “I’m sorry,” and “I repent,” without righteous indignation will remain the standard in their lives.

Fear – the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Without it you are left to your own understanding and are blind to the heart and mind of the Father.

There is no repentance without the fear of the Lord. However, many times, the fear of the Lord is replaced with the fear of loss; the loss of status, position, or image. The deception here is that the fight to retain those things has caused the loss of the forgiveness of God. Vehement desire – an earnest desire to walk in the righteousness of God. It is to despise evil and the hurt it imposes on others. It is a strong desire to walk holy before God and man.

Zeal – to have a fervent mind to serve God in holiness. When you repent, stir up a zeal against the sin you committed so you will never be found there again. Godly sorrow worketh repentance. However, despair, depression and self-condemnation worketh death. This therefore means that God is not an advocate of stalling repentance for pity sake. This is called worldly sorrow, and it worketh death. Therefore, when you sin, repent quickly and move on in righteousness. Revenge – Vindication through true repentance.

As we discussed earlier, godly sorrow worketh repentance. It is through the washing of the word, the cleansing of the blood, and the justification of the Spirit that we are vindicated and given the right to continue in God and His service.

Jude 1:24-25

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

As long as we believe in Jesus and allow Him to live through us, we will never sin. It does not matter how recently we repented, His Word remains true. We can repent, stand up, and continue in perfection from that point forward.
